Today we completed a 1st fix for a kitchen rewire in Chester
We were asked to do a kitchen rewire in Chester today by a local builder. The builder is a regular customer of ours and kitchen rewires are quite common place. He generally builds small extensions for kitchens and extra bedrooms.
Once on site this morning we started to disconnect any of the old sockets and lights that where no longer needed. Once they were removed we started to 1st fix the new electrical points. A kitchen plan was provided by the home owner, so a position for the sockets and lights was specified. We generally install new circuits for a kitchen rewire, this is due to the fact we can make sure the circuit is suitable to carry the load of the new kitchen.
The sockets where ‘boxed out’ ready for the rewiring. all the cables where clipped around the joists and clipped down the walls.
By the end of the day the job was finished and the builder was happy, he can now start to plasterboard next week.
Generally we can 1st fix a kitchen in a day and leave it ready for the plasterer.
What the customer is having!
The kitchen is being supplied by a local company in Chester. We have installed cables ready for new sockets and spotlights.
The sockets have been placed around the work top areas. The lights have been positioned so they follow the floor around the island. There are pendant lights positioned over the island and a pop up socket also. When the wall units are fitted there will be lights underneath to light up the worktop. We are unsure of the choice of sockets for the kitchen. But i am sure they will choose something decorative.
